HONDA RA300
(Sold in set consisting of the RA300 and the Garage Kit. ASSY. Unpainted.)
Honda made their first challenge to the Formula One with the RA271 in 1964.
The car impressed the world with a roaring “Honda sound”
coming from its fast-rotating transverse-mounted engine.
Although the RA271 won its first race after a year,
later the car had trouble competing afterwards.
It was time for Honda to make a new step forward.
There were two issues to deal with: a heavy body and heavy engine.
Honda chose to adopt a chassis produced by Lola Cars, based in England, to reduce weight.
The collaborative Japan/England effort, the RA300,
was born and made an impressive winning debut at the Italian Grand Prix.
We precisely reproduced this legendary machine to a one-twentieth scale
we believe ideal to achieve both detail and presence.
